The Children's Museum Foundation is a nonprofit organization aimed at educating children and youth of all ages. The Foundation was established in nineteen eighty-six under the leadership of President Belisario Betancur, supported by a distinguished group of Colombian businessmen and leaders of state agencies. The Foundation has benefited from the selfless contributions of many private companies, foundations and government agencies. The Museum opened its doors in  eighty seven The Museum occupies a complex of buildings with more than oco thousand square meters of construction at the intersection of three and secenta career forty-eight, in the geographic center of the city
